Alpha PDA Service

Keep track of the market and your watchlists at all times with Alpha’s real-time PDA service. Simply log on to the secure website (www.a4pda.com) via your PDA to view share prices, charts and news. Compatible with Blackberrys, Pocket PCs, Nokia N Series and other handheld PDAs and mobile phones.

Overview screen includes an intraday chart of the FTSE 100 and a scrollable list of the latest news stories.

From here, search for specific stocks or select one of your watchlists from the drop-down menu. The watchlists you set up on Alpha Terminal will be synchronised with the PDA service automatically.

Watchlist displays (see image) include EPIC, news flags, latest mid price, % change from close and traded volume. You can sort by any of the columns. Click on the EPIC to see detailed price and news information for each instrument.

You can also display an intraday or historical price chart for each stock. Change the timeframe of the chart between one hour, one day, three months, one year and full history. Watermarks show the daily change since last close whilst the latest price is indicated on the price axis.

PDA Solo & Dual

There are two PDA services you can choose from: Dual enables you to use the PDA service whilst your Alpha Terminal is logged in. This gives you the benefit of access if you have had to rush out of the office on short notice or just out at lunch. Solo requires you to be logged out of your Alpha Terminal account. Solo is a free service whilst Dual has associated data fees.
