If you advise clients or manage portfolios, Alpha enables fast analysis and comparison of instruments.
Alpha includes in-depth fundamental data for all UK listed companies. Whether you are advising clients or researching new investments, you’ll find the following information never more than a click away - company results, forecasts, ratios, risk metrics, sector ranking, key dates, news, corporate actions, trades, director and major shareholder dealings or company website – enabling fast, effective research.
You can create tables of fundamental data for a visual comparison of equities. You can include financial results data (fig. 1), ratios, correlation, beta, sector rankings and broker ratings. You can sort by any column. To maximise the use of space in the table, hovering the mouse cursor over particular headline results or ratios will display a summary graph of historical and forecast data (fig. 2).
Tables can be easily exported into a spreadsheet for client or internal reports.
Alternatively, you can drill down to in-depth fundamentals for each company. You can customise this screen to show the information of most importance to you. In fact, you can create multiple templates which you can apply with the click of the mouse (fig. 3).
Superb stock screening enables you to find companies that match even the most demanding investment criteria in seconds. You can choose from hundreds of criteria including performance metrics to create unlimited filters. The search is instantaneous allowing you to quickly see the results of modifying your criteria. Filters are automatically updated each day or even real-time (fig. 4).
There are plenty of services which give you information about open-ended funds but Alpha is the only one which enables you to quickly and easily compare open-ended funds with investment trusts and ETFs – both in table and chart format. Compare performance, NAVs, TERs, spreads and liquidity. Measure performance over arbitrary time periods such as “since the crash” or “year to date”.
